It’s Heaven
IT’S HEAVEN (a sensory poem)
The air smells of rain water and the bird baths fill
to overflow.
I sit to watch beauty drop itself from a flower petal.
When it snows
the area around this country house is white.
Footprints lead to the barn to feed the animals.
Drinking hot chocolate inside by a fire
makes the day a lot better.
Creatures nestle close to one another
in search for warmth.
This is the house on the country that beauty truly depends on.
Why can’t the world be just like this place?
Everyone is happy and having fun.
Some would even say “it’s heaven.”
