This event is open and free to the public.
PARTICIPANT FEE INFORMATION: Fees and donations must be received by March 20th
- Schools/organizations – $125 registration fee for participants. (Covers up to 10 students and 2 coaches/teachers)
- Individual participants – Not connected with a school/organization are asked to make a $5 donation.
- Schools/organizations who have partnered with TYD and a Voice2Youth™ program this semester – No fee is required.

What is the 2020 Voice2Youth™ Poetry Slam?
- Citywide annual youth poetry slam involving 3rd – 12th graders.
- Strengthens critical skills for academic and personal success.
- Participants receive awards and cash prizes.
- Aim is to help build a strong literacy foundation in kids early on: reading, writing, and public speaking.
- Purpose: To give university campus exposure and voice to youth from under-served communities.
- This year‘s theme is 2020 Vision.
