Workshop Title:  Playing for Keeps

Workshop Goals:

  1.  Keep students interested in your lesson plans.
  2.  Gain creative tools to help students retain what they learn, increase participation and improve teacher control.

Workshop Description:

Educators will participate in educational games that are designed to help students remember content words, build vocabulary, and develop analytic thinking and problem solving skills.  They will also receive tools and ideas to create their own educational games for enriching students.

 

Outcome: Educators will learn strategies for engaging and guiding students in team or group scholastic activity.

 

Time frame: This is a 3 to 4 hour workshop

 

Minimum and maximum number of participants: 8-16 participants

 

Skill level: This workshop would be useful to educators at all levels of skills.
