Shelley Cox, Chair and Treasurer

Shelley Cox has over 25 years of small business management and accounting experience. She received an Associate’s Degree from Tarrant County College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Texas. Down to one child at home, Shelley made a decision to go back to school to pursue a degree in Art.

Growing up as a latch-key kid, she identifies with the challenges facing children in need.  In 2007, Shelley fell in love with the work the Thank You Darlin’ Foundation was doing to impact children’s lives, and couldn’t wait to get involved. Elevated to the role of Chair of the Thank You Darlin’ Foundation board, Shelley works as an active leader.

Debbie Ursini, Co-Chair

Debbie Ursini has worked in schools throughout the area as an art instructor for 15-plus years.  She is also an accomplished artist.  Her work shows extraordinary insight into the multicultural life of today. It has been shown in ethnic galleries, on cable programs, and in numerous private and public exhibits throughout the area.  Passionate about helping to keep Earth green, Debbie uses recyclable materials to create stunning works of art.  Debbie began working on the Thank You Darlin’ Foundation board in 2007.

Rose Ann Meredith, Member at Large

Rose Ann earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Tarrant County College and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.  She currently works as a supervisor for the Texas Workforce Commission.  Rose Ann has amassed 18 plus years of experience in poetry performances at venues such as the Rose Marine Theater and Casa Manana.   Her published works include the Fort Worth Optimist Club’s newsletter, the Fort Worth Poet, the DFW Poetry Review, Borders Books – Music – Cafe Poetry Group Anthology and Phantasm: Poetry and Art.

Shelia is currently the newest member of our TYD team.  Though her finance and leadership background has been her bread and butter for 19 years, Shelia gains the most satisfaction from opportunities involving art – sharing it, teaching it, and creating it.  Greatly inspired by her upbringing, she’s also a devoted humanitarian.  “Each one teaches one” is her mantra.

Katrina earned a BS in Biology from the University of North Texas.  She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a MBA.  Katrina has served in various capacities within non-profit organization and is passionate about public service.  Katrina is a Fort Worth native and upon return to the city in 2010 she felt a strong desire to serve the youth within the city.  She met Carolyn West in a casual setting and decided TYD was a perfect fit.  Katrina is an avid reader and a supporter of literacy.
